Description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the weekly settlements to owner operators are accurate and contain all applicable adjustments. This position will communicate daily with terminal personnel through email.
What you'll do:
- Field settlement questions from terminal personnel
- Enter weekly settlement adjustments (Comdata Com checks)
- Create and maintain reoccurring settlement adjustment schedules for base plates, garnishments, maintenance fund, terminations
- Confirm accuracy of weekly payment requests from Comdata and process pay request
- Review weekly EDI files (Comdata, Paul Hanson) for accuracy prior to acceptance
- Issue Com checks upon request from terminals
What you'll have:
- High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Ability to research across multiple applications
- Expert-level user of Windows applications and Microsoft Office Excel (V lookups, pivot tables)
- Quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as needed
- Writes clearly and informatively
