Accounts Payable Specialist

Summary

America's leading replacement window company, Window World, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our headquarters in Baton Rouge. In this position, you'll be responsible for processing payments, verification of invoices, and performing vendor account reconciliations.

To be successful as Window World's accounts payable specialist, you should be detail-oriented, organized, display a thorough understanding of accounting best practices, and have 2+ years of experience in a similar role. An accomplished accounts payable specialist will be someone whose accounting expertise translates into optimized expense control processes. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data


• Receive, process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices


• Compare system reports to balances and verify entries


• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers


• Verify vendor accounts, pay vendors, and resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies


• Issue purchase order amendments and stop payments


• Perform recordkeeping and prepare financial reports

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as an accounts payable specialist or similar


• Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related is a plus!


• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment


• Soft Skills: Time management, problem solving, organization, critical thinking, professionalism, and excellent communication


• Technical Skills: Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, accounting software (Sage is a plus)


• Ability to work in-person during our office hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm; 8405 Airline Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70815
