Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.


• Prepare and process payments via checks, electronic transfers, and other payment methods.


• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.


• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation.


• Monitor payment due dates to avoid late fees and maintain positive vendor relationships.


• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.


• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations.


• Generate accounts payable reports for management as needed.


• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).


• Proven experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


• Excellent organizational and time management skills.


• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

Job Logistics

Location: New York, NY – Midtown West

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000
