Accounts Payable Specialist

for our client, a highly regarded construction group in

Burlingame, California

This is a wonderful full time, on-site, contract-to-hire opportunity to join an inspiring team!

Perks:
Competitive hourly rate of $33-34 an hour and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week. An employee retirement plan is also available! Salary of $60,000-$65,000 plus benefits upon conversion.

What you'll be doing:
-Receive and process invoices from vendors.
-Verify that invoices are accurate, coded correctly, and approved for payment.
-Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper authorization and receipt of goods or services.
-Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices, purchase orders, or payments.
-Assist with check runs or electronic payments in accordance as needed/requested by Accounting Manager.
-Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on any past-due balances or discrepancies.
-Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
-Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
-Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve payment-related issues.

What you need to be successful:
-Experience with SAP, Oracle
-2+ years in similar position

Compensation:
