Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage all accounts payable tasks and provide administrative and clerical support within the Finance department. This role offers significant growth and career development opportunities. The ideal candidate is versatile, eager to learn, and willing to take on various responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Cycle Accounts Payable: Analyze and route incoming invoices; process vendor payments via ACH, vendor portal, and checks.
Manage AP Aging & Expense Reports: Produce and manage expense reports as needed.
Accounts Receivable Duties: Post payments received in accounting software; monitor and track rental payments.
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations.
Monthly Closing: Assist in the monthly closing process.
General Ledger Reconciliations: Perform general ledger account reconciliations as needed.
Annual Processing: Handle annual 1099 and 1098 processing.
Audit Assistance: Gather and maintain necessary documentation; prepare supporting schedules, confirmations, adjusting journal entries, etc.
Other Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Minimum 2-5 years of accounts payable experience. Experience with accounting processes and general ledger posting is a plus.
Preferred experience working in a nonprofit organization and Christian faith-based entity.
Skills:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with SAGE Intacct is a plus.
Expert computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other database systems.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
Adaptable to change and solution-oriented.
Strong follow-through and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
