Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist, Dental

Salt Flats Dentistry is a fast-growing, multi-location practice serving the Salt Lake Valley (Cottonwood, Herriman, and Bangerter locations). We’re known for a patient-first experience and advanced technology—CBCT 3D x-rays, CEREC same-day crowns, digital scanners, and anxiety-reducing comforts like noise-canceling headphones, ceiling-mounted TVs, and laughing gas. We’re insurance-friendly, welcome new patients, and our Bangerter location proudly accepts Medicaid.

We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, results-driven A/R pro who can jump in quickly, stabilize aging, and keep cash flow humming across locations. You’ll work in Oryx Practice Management and Microsoft Office within a supportive, high-standards revenue cycle team.

  Submit and track dental insurance claims accurately and on time

  Proactively follow up on unpaid claims; resolve denials/rejections

  
  


• 
  

  Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits

  
  


• 
  

  Post insurance/patient payments, reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies

  
  


• 
  

  Produce/send statements, manage payment plans, handle billing inquiries

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate A/R aging and provide regular updates to management

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure compliance with HIPAA and industry best practices

  
  

• 
  

  2+ years dental billing/A/R experience (preferred)

  
  


• 
  

  Solid knowledge of CDT codes and dental insurance processes

  
  


• 
  

  Meticulous attention to detail; strong organization and follow-through

  
  


• 
  

  Clear, professional communication and problem-solving skills

  
  


• 
  

  Comfort with Oryx and Microsoft Office (or quick learner)

  
  

• 
  

  $18–$21/hour (commensurate with experience)
