Job Description - Accounts Receivable Manager - N Fort Worth




The Accounts Receivable Manager (Commercial Credit & Collections) is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day activities to ensure optimal cash flow and minimal bad debt.  This position requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department.  







  • Manage a team of AR specialists- oversee invoicing, issuing credit/debit memos, collection and cash application activities

  • Develop and implement credit strategies, and work closely with our membership to resolve credit issues.

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices

  • Prepare and present regular reports on credit and collection activities, including aging reports and DSO analysis.

  • Handle complex or escalated collection issues and negotiate payment terms with customers.

  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address credit-related issues and customer disputes.

Requirements




• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.



• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in credit management, collections, or a related financial role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.



• Strong understanding of credit and accounts receivable principles, practices, and regulations.



• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.



• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).



• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and senior management.



• Self-motivate, goal-oriented, team player
