Accounts Receivable / Payable Clerk - Hiring Fast

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Clerks for temp to permananent opportunities within the Greater Houston Area.

The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payments and/or collections.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable invoices and/or expense reports
Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
Prepare and process payments to vendors
Monitor accounts receivable aging report and follow up on past due accounts
Generate customer invoices and statements
Apply customer payments to outstanding invoices
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable records
Assist with month-end closing activities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in accounts payable or receivable roles
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
