Accounts Receivable (AR) Collection Specialist

Location: Portsmouth, NH | Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00PM | Full-Time

Pay: $25.00-29.00 depending on experience

We are seeking a dedicated AR Collection Specialist to join our team and lead accounts receivable collections across all three of our New England offices. If you have a knack for numbers, strong communication skills, and enjoy helping teams succeed, this role is for you! This role ensures that receivables are collected in a timely, professional manner while maintaining positive relationships with clients and insurance adjusters.

Position Overview:
As the AR Collection Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining healthy cash flow and fostering positive relationships with our customers, insurance partners, and internal teams. You’ll serve as the central collections lead, ensuring consistency in processes, reporting, and resolution of accounts receivable issues across multiple offices.

Key Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

Follow up on invoices with insurance companies and customers to ensure timely payment.

Communicate professionally via email and phone to resolve outstanding balances.

Collaborate with project managers and customers when extra assistance is needed.

Track accounts and escalate issues when necessary, including initiating demand letters if needed.

Attend weekly Virtual AR meetings for each office location to review accounts, discuss challenges, and share updates.

Keep accurate records of all collection activities.

Ensure consistent collection processes across all three locations.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Organized and detail-oriented, with a knack for follow-up.

Comfortable working with both customers and insurance adjusters.

Previous AR or collections experience is a plus, but not required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with RMS or similar software is helpful.
