Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and possess excellent organizational abilities. This role involves handling various tasks related to billing, payment processing, and customer communication.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment status, and account updates Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes Ensure the resolution of all invoices entered and uploaded into the system Assist in account reconciliations and dispute resolution with carriers Process incoming payments via various channels, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions Maintain spreadsheets with tender details and oversee the processing and settlement of invoices Assist in scheduling logistics tasks and coordinating with carriers and receivers Generate customer aging reports Assist in fraud/double brokering investigations when issues arise Establishing new customer records, obtaining invoicing contact information, and aiding Kara in completing necessary forms
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of logistics operations and terminology is a plus
