Accounts Receivable Specialist - Innovative Company

THE ROLE:

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Investigate historical data for each debt or bill.
• Find and contact clients to ask about their overdue payments.
• Take actions to encourage timely debt payments.
• Process payments and refunds.
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues.
• Update account status records and collection efforts.
• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

• Knowledge of credit and collections procedures, billing procedures, and collection techniques.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics, and databases. Knowledge of accounts receivable processes.
• Knowledge of office administration and procedures. Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral). Skilled in negotiation. Problem-solving skills.
• Strong general software skills. Strong organizational skills.
• Patience and ability to manage stress.
• Ability to function effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team and work independently.
• Ability to learn all aspects of CTL collection and finance database/software.
• Ability to stay organized and make the necessary amount of collections communications.
• Ability to follow through on tasks to cause a positive impact on collections.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School Diploma is required at a minimum.
• Associate Degree in Finance or Business or equivalent relevant training and experience preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in accounting, finance, collections and AR.
