Accounts Receivable Specialist - Urgent Role

This position is responsible for posting, applying and transferring (if necessary) daily ACH and energy assistance payments to customer accounts in ADDs (our software for fuel delivery). This position is also responsible for assisting the field with inquiries regarding payments, ADDs posting and adjustments.

Responsibilities:

• Posts, applies and transfers (if necessary) daily payments
• Researches and resolves payments that are applied incorrectly
• Updates the daily payment spreadsheet which is used to ensure payments are processed timely and identifies unapplied payments
• Maintains the Energy Assistance spreadsheet for payments and issues
• Assists Customer Service Centers with inquiries and issues regarding all aspects of Accounts Receivable
• Works with the Credit and Collections Department as issues arise
• Posts and researches credit card chargebacks
• Works on special projects as required

Qualifications: 

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent training and experience
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts
• Basic understanding of computer concepts and usage including MS Office
• Must be detail oriented with good research/problem solving skills
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills to address issue with other departments and outside vendors
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, set priorities in a fast-paced environment
