Accounts Recievables Clerk

S&W Wholesale Foods is Louisiana’s leading independent food service supplier and is on the Move. We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team! This position is responsible for correctly posting all customer payments received through deliveries.

What you’ll do:

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
• Clear credit managers box i.e. bank, special deposits, etc.
• Post accounts receivable daily
• Process invoice changes throughout the day from drivers
• Post trucks to the register balance sheet and log in sheet daily
• Maintains cash box daily 
• Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested. 
• Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.  
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
• Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
• Trained for back up of Credit Manager
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

What you need to succeed:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
• Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.  
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of related experience required

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
