Security State Bank-Sheridan is hiring an Accounts Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to provide excellent customer service. This is a full-time position where teamwork and customer service skills are essential.
Competitive wage range from $20.00-25.00 per hour, DOE. Banking experience preferred but not required.

Job Purpose: Responsible for providing excellent customer service by meeting the needs of customers in an efficient and friendly manner. Performs routine office and clerical duties while maintaining operational quality and standards. Comply with bank regulations and policies pertaining to operational functions of the bank. Acts as the customer’s first point of contact with the bank. Responsible for ensuring a positive public perception of the bank by greeting customers and promoting bank products and services that meet our customer's needs while supporting bank goals.

Account Representative Responsibilities:
- Follow bank policies and procedures related to the new account process, to maintain compliance and to minimize loss.
- Collect required documentation to establish accounts.
- Scan data into the bank’s systems.
- Maintain new and existing account records that meet all bank & regulator policies.
- Possess a thorough understanding of FDIC coverage.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all bank deposit products, services, and fees to help educate customers in making the best decisions.
- Fully understand internet-banking services to help refer, sell, and assist customers with setup and troubleshooting.
- Assist with check back of daily file maintenance on accounts that were opened and/or changed by other employees.
- Promote Merchant Service Program and introduce to current and new business customers.
- May perform operational duties such as opening a teller window to back up the teller line.
Customer Service Duties:
- Greet customers over the phone and answer inquiries. Provide our customers with the “family feel” that Security State Bank is known for.
- Direct questions to appropriate bank personnel as needed.
- Research and resolve customer problems as applicable.
- Provide customer entrance to safe deposit box according to bank procedure.
- Generate new business within the branch by knowing bank products and personnel in order to identify cross-selling opportunities and direct customers to appropriate personnel.
- Increase business for the bank by developing and expanding customer relationships. Ensure all new customers are introduced to other areas of the bank as a means of potential future business
