Accounts Representative - Grand Lake Physician Practice Biller

 Hours of Job

• Full Time - Onsite


• Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.


• No weekends or holidays required.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Processes and follows-up on all assigned Physician Practice locations insurance claims until proper reimbursement is received. 


• Monitors and reviews all denials and unpaid claims and take appropriate corrective action as necessary


• Utilize telephone and various carrier websites as research tools to expedite resolution for issues


• Review carrier manuals and websites for any new procedures implemented by carrier that are impacting claims


• Consistently meet established completion times for claims/assignments


• Makes all necessary corrections on claims for submission.


• Processes mail and explanation of benefits in timely manner


• Processes hard-copy billing, documenting amount and date sent on office’s information system.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Typing, basic math calculations, computer oriented, and good verbal skills.


• Able to work without direct supervision, work well in a group setting.


• Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills.


• Ability to recall details and health insurance procedures/processes.

Education/Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience is preferred but not required.
