Job Description - Acquisition Specialist, Junior


KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Acquisition Analyst/Management Analyst, Junior, to join our team.

Established in July 2013, KAIROS, Inc. is a growing Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in Life Cycle Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Logistics and Sustainment, Enterprise Platforms and AI, and Additive Manufacturing services focused on optimizing customers’ program performance and mission through proven methodologies and ethical practices. This position will support a program office located at Naval Air Station Patuxent River (Pax). This position will perform life cycle acquisition/procurement management support for supply requirements in the areas of planning, acquisition/procurement document development, monitoring, tracking, and close-out.

Primary Duties: 
  • Supports and drafts program milestone-related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives.
  • Supports the development of program acquisition documentation such as STRAPs, AS documents, Procurement Initiation Documents, SOW, funding documents, CDRLs, and APBs.
  • Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.
  • Attends, participates, supports, analyzes, provides input, develops, prepares, and reports on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with large and diverse teams.

  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to multitask and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology
Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Technical, or other related discipline.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor degree an Associates degree plus two (2) years of additional work experience may be substituted.
  • In lieu of an Associates degree, and additional four (4) years of work experience may be substituted.
  • At least one (1) year of experience supporting a Navy, DoD, or NAVAIR program.
  • Experience working with NAVAIR Acquisition Management System digital tools, such as Program Management Tool (PMT).
Clearance: 
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation, you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.

Compensation: 
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include, but are not limited to, location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $75,000.00. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
