• Salary: 48,000-51,000 Based on experience 
• Shift:  Day Shift, with Manager on Duty (MOD) weekend rotations

We are seeking a director with therapeutic recreational approaches to mental health prevention and a willingness to work closely with our Psych Rehab team. Bring your out-of-the-box ideas! What you will do in this role:  When you are a resident, games and entertainment can be the highlight of your day.  As an Activity / Activities Director in our behavioral health setting, you will design a curriculum to keep our  residents interested & engaged in their recovery and prepare them to return to the community.  This could involve leading exercise groups, team activities, and taking a therapeutic approach to engagement & redirecting behaviors. 

• This not your typical Activity Director position.
• This would be a great position for a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

Activity / Activities Director:  Officially we title this job an Activities Director, but in other centers it may be called an Event or Recreational Coordinator or even a Life Enrichment Coordinator.

What we need from you:

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) would be ideal, but not required
• Certified Activity Director (the 36-hour certification course for the state of IL) is nice but not required for this setting
• Prior experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred, but not required
