Activity Assistant(s) - Part-time 15-20 hours/week, expected schedule 10am to 3:00pm; 3-4 days per week. Multiple positions available. Per diem/on call positions may also be available.

Position Overview The Activity Assistant plays a key role in creating a welcoming, engaging environment for participants. Working alongside our team, you’ll help lead meaningful activities, support daily routines, and build genuine relationships that make each day feel purposeful and enjoyable.
What You’ll Do
Assist in activities such as art, music, games, and light exercise
Encourage participation and help each individual feel included and comfortable
Build positive, respectful relationships with participants and team members
Support meals, snacks, and daily routines
Help set up and maintain clean, inviting program spaces
Observe and communicate changes in participant needs or mood
Contribute to special events, seasonal programming, and community outings
Who You Are
Kind, patient, and dependable
Comfortable working with older adults, including those living with memory loss and adults with disabilities
A team player who can also take initiative
Creative, flexible, and willing to jump in where needed
Strong communicator with a positive, calm presence
Experience or willingness to assist with personal care tasks as needed (toileting, feeding) a plus
Experience in caregiving, recreation, human services, or a related field preferred
Schedule: 15-20 hours/3-4 days per week depending on coverage needs and candidate availability. Expected schedule is 10a-3p. No weekends or evenings; we are closed major holidays.
Expected pay range: $16-$18+ highly dependent on experience.
References required and verification of past employment history.
Requirements
Experience in activity coordination, personal care assistance, or working with elderly/adults with disabilities preferred.
Ability to engage and motivate participants in various activities.
Understanding of physical and cognitive needs of older adults.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
