Mission View Health Center, located in beautiful sunny San Luis Obispo is accepting applications for an Activities Assistant!

We are a skilled nursing facility looking for someone who wants to enhance the lives of our residents with Music and Paint.

Looking for a person who is artistic, energetic, compassionate and able to Entertain, to join our activities team.

Primary responsibility will be to assist the Activity Director, in carrying out day to day Activities that help enrich the lives of our residents. We follow the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern long term care and assisted living facilities.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/JOB TRAINING

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent. Required Skills: Basic Computer skills including word, publisher and use of internet, good verbal and written communication and  the ability to work with others.

Specific Requirements:

·Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

·Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day. Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility, which include a yearly medical and physical examination. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

·Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel and reach repeatedly throughout the day.
