About the Role The Activities Assistant helps plan, organize, and lead daily activities that support residents’ physical, cognitive, and social needs. Ideal candidates are energetic, patient, and passionate about working with older adults in a long‑term care environment. What You’ll Do
- Lead group and individual activities such as arts & crafts, games, music, drama, and light exercise
- Adapt activities to residents’ abilities, interests, and care plans
- Assist with sensory stimulation, art therapy, and music therapy programs
- Teach simple relaxation and stress‑reduction techniques
- Help create the monthly activity calendar
- Document resident participation and progress for the care team
- Support volunteers and student interns
- Manage activity supplies and equipment needs

THESE ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- One to two years’ experience and/or training
- Certification from state approved course, preferred
- Current Kentucky Driver’s License’s with a Class B CDL endorsement, preferred
