JOB SUMMARY

The activity center coordinator will oversee the day-to-day activities for patients at our clinics. Our Coordinator collaborates with our patients developing in promoting programs, social functions, serving lunch and in enriching the lives of our patients. Seeking a customer service person to oversee the patient activities function of our clinic. This position requires a candidate who can work independently, is in customer service and is willing to serve the patients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute activities for patients, including in-facility and special events.


• Purchase items needed for activities and set up rooms for events.


• Serve food and oversee patients to ensure safety and adherence to rules.


• Train other activity workers and promote the center's offerings.


• Utilize physical strength as needed for setting up activities.


• Apply problem-solving and communication skills to develop suitable activities and clearly convey instructions to patients.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• High school degree.


• Previous customer service experience.


• ServSafe Food Manager - ServSafe Certification 


• Minimum of 1 year experience working as a coordinator in an activity center within a clinic setting or similar environment/industry.


• Bilingual in English and Spanish.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Attention to detail and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.


• Must be able to lift to fifteen pounds at times.
