Activity/Recreation Coordinator (740500) of Student Library

Our Job Corps programs provide life-changing services that help young people succeed in school, obtain good jobs, excel in their chosen fields, and serve as contributing members of their communities. We accomplish this through an intense commitment to safety, quality service, excellence, and partnerships.

• Maintain a neat and orderly library.
• Make sure all books, tapes, DVD’s, etc. are cataloged and properly displayed.
• Check articles in and out and maintain an accountability log.
• Maintain daily participation log and submit to the Center Standards and Incentives Manager.
• Monitor internet usage and ensure that all sites being used are appropriately.
• Maintains all property documents associated with the library.
• Post library schedule on bulletin boards and communication channels.
• Schedule and facilitate student activities as instructed.
• Ensure that all Library activities are posted in the library as well as on all center communication channels.
• Maintains accountability for computer labs during library hours.
• Process all new materials into the library.
• Maintain library safety and maintenance records.
• Operates office machines and instructs others in the operation of same.
• Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
• Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.

Attends all required staff training opportunities.

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One-year related experience.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
