How You’ll Contribute:
As an Actuary, you will lead and develop a high-performing actuarial modeling and valuation team responsible for Principle-Based Reserve (PBR) valuations and financial reporting across life and annuity products. You will partner closely with Actuarial, Finance, Investments, Accounting, and senior leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant results while driving process improvement, automation, and strong governance.
What You’ll Do:
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual PBR valuation and reporting for life and annuity blocks, including statutory and tax reserves, ALM risk duration, and cash flow testing
Manage, coach, and develop actuarial professionals, including performance management, work allocation, and talent development
Oversee actuarial model development, validation, governance, and controlled production processes
Lead the conversion and enhancement of actuarial systems into a unified ALFA-based modeling platform
Improve automation, analytics, testing, and internal controls to support accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
Integrate new products into corporate in-force models and assess emerging modeling techniques
Partner with Investments, Finance, Accounting, auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders
Communicate results, assumptions, and insights to leadership and governance committees

What You’ll Bring:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of actuarial experience
At least 5 years supporting life and/or fixed indexed annuity products
Experience leading or mentoring actuarial staff
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced actuarial and quantitative modeling expertise
Working knowledge of ALFA and ARCVAL actuarial systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
Exposure to VBA, SQL, Python, or similar programming tools
Strong understanding of fixed indexed annuity and indexed universal life products
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
Physical Requirements:
Primarily sedentary work with extended periods of sitting
Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
Ability to communicate effectively and review detailed analytical information
