Experienced Advanced Practice Provider – Acute Cardiology (4-Day Workweek)

Overview
We are hiring a skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support our acute cardiology team. This full-time, four-day workweek position focuses on hospital-based care in Jacksonville, working in partnership with Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and General Cardiologists. Our team-based model emphasizes quality care and continuity, and we offer a robust benefits package, competitive pay, and CME support.

Key Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rounding & Consults (Tuesday–Friday): Deliver advanced-level care in a hospital setting, including patient assessments, coordinating diagnostic testing, adjusting medications, and collaborating directly with attending cardiologists.

• Monthly Weekend Rotation: Participate in weekend rounding and consults once per month alongside another APP and the on-call Cardiologist. Duties include patient evaluations, managing admissions, test ordering, and documentation.

• Evening/Night Call (Weekdays): Provide remote, after-hours call coverage (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.) on designated nights. APPs triage patient concerns from home, ensuring timely care coordination and smooth handoff communication each morning.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of inpatient or acute cardiology experience required.

• Valid Florida license as an APRN or PA-C, with no malpractice or disciplinary history.

• Demonstrated expertise in hospital workflows, clinical documentation, HIPAA, safety protocols, and medical decision-making in a cardiology setting.
