The Role

• Manage ad valorem tax valuations and assessments across assigned jurisdictions.
• Analyze production, pricing, and operating expenses using discounted cash flow and decline curve modeling.
• Develop annual property tax budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Negotiate property tax assessments with appraisal districts and represent the company at formal hearings.
• Prepare complex tax renditions, exemptions, and abatements.
• Partner with Accounting, Operations, and leadership on tax planning and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate property records and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, property valuation, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Upstream oil and gas experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ad valorem tax software, appraisal district negotiations, or decline curve analysis preferred.
