CERTIFIED ADDICTIONS COUNSELOR - Albany Care, Evanston, IL

Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Certified Addictions Counselor. Pay Rate of Between $25-$29 per hour(Depending upon Benefit Plan chosen)

~ To Qualify, Must have a Bachelor's Degree and at Least One of the Certifications Listed Below: ~

- Addictions Certificate

- Substance Abuse Certificate

- CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)

- CAC (Certified Addictions counselor)

Responsibilities of the Addictions Counselor:

• Provide peer-oriented individual and group counseling
• Assessments
• Treatment planning
• Referrals
• Interventions
• Work with family members and friends, and community to educate about SUDs
• Documentation
• Responsible for fostering a safe, motivating and supportive environment
• Encourage and model the philosophy of recovery and empowerment

of the Addictions Counselor:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
• Must have at least one of the following certifications:

- Addictions Certificate
- Substance Abuse Certificate
- CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
- CAC (Certified Addictions counselor)

• Counseling experience in an adult residential mental health facility
• Knowledge of local community resources a plus
