ADH Activity Specialist - CNA Preferred

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and creative Activity Specialist to lead engaging, therapeutic activities for our ADH participants. In this role, you will design and implement enriching programs, lead activities, and ensure every participant feels valued, respected, and inspired to live life to the fullest.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, lead, and adapt activities to meet varying functional levels
• Develop monthly and weekly calendars that bring joy and purpose to our participants’ days
• Mentor Program Participants to encourage independence, dignity, and self-respect
• Complete participant assessments (initial, 6-month, and annual) to tailor activities to their interests
• Coordinate volunteers to enhance program offerings
• Collaborate with staff and caregivers to create a warm, welcoming environment
• Assist with personal care and nutritional monitoring (as permitted by certification/licensure)
• Coordinate special events and community partnerships
• Be the ultimate cheerleader for our participants and their families

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: At least 1 year working with frail or elderly adults
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certifications: First Aid, CPR, Tulsa County Food Handler’s permit, CNA license preferred
• Skills:
   
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate older adults to participate in activities
  • Creative, energetic, and caring personality
     
• Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50lbs and push up to 200lbs, with most work performed while standing or walking
