Adjunct Teacher

 Position Summary

Calvary Christian Academy is seeking a qualified and mission-driven Dual-Enrollment Adjunct Teacher to join our secondary education team. This role is responsible for instructing high school students enrolled in college-level dual-enrollment courses. The ideal candidate will combine academic excellence with a commitment to advancing the school’s mission and community impact through biblical stewardship and student mentorship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, college-level instruction for dual-enrollment courses aligned with academic standards. 
• Classroom Management: Maintain an engaging, structured, and spiritually supportive learning environment conducive to student growth.
• Student Assessment: Evaluate and grade coursework, exams, and assignments in a timely manner, providing constructive feedback to support academic advancement.
• Work Schedule Flexibility: Manage course delivery across an adjustable schedule dependent on assigned class sections and academic terms. 
• Mission Alignment: Integrate biblical principles into classroom culture, supporting the church and school’s broader mission and community reach. 
• Communication: Maintain regular communication with school leadership, parents, and students regarding academic progress and expectations. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Master’s Degree in the relevant academic discipline or a Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching dual-enrollment, Advanced Placement (AP), or higher education courses.
• Florida teaching certification or relevant college-level teaching credentials.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use office equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
