Adjunct Teacher for Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) Teacher - Join a Leading Company

POSITION PURPOSE:

• Instructs students in subject matter, utilizing strong pedagogical skills.
• Prepares teaching outline for course of study, assigns lessons, and provides feedback to students.
• Administers tests to evaluate pupil’s progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress.
• Maintains discipline in the classroom and other school activities.
• Maintains attendance and grade records.
• Effectively collaborates with teaching colleagues and administrators on best practices in teaching and learning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Create engaging lesson plans, presentations, and learning materials.
• Deliver classroom instruction on CNA theory, practical skills, and ethical considerations.
• Facilitate discussions, case studies, and interactive activities to enhance student learning.
• Teach proper techniques for patient lifting, transferring, and positioning.
• Coordinate clinical experiences for students in healthcare facilities (e.g., hospitals, nursing homes).
• Supervise students during hands-on practice, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve students’ clinical performance.
• Assess student progress through quizzes, exams, and practical assessments.
• Identify areas for improvement and offer additional support as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to nursing assistant training.
• Attend workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance teaching skills.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Address student questions, concerns, and challenges.
• Encourage teamwork and collaboration among students.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of Fire Science experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field
• Active CNA certification.
• Prior experience teaching CNA courses or related healthcare subjects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to connect with students and understand their learning needs.
