Job Description - Admin Asst, Iredell Foundation


Are you looking to build a career in healthcare philanthropy? The Iredell Health Foundation is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-minded Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our growing nonprofit organization. This individual will provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Development team while helping ensure efficient office operations and exceptional donor and community experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Development staff

• Answer phones, greet visitors, and respond to general inquiries

• Coordinate calendars, meetings, and board materials

• Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and meeting minutes

• Maintain accurate donor and constituent records in the donor database (CRM)

• Process donations and prepare donor acknowledgment letters

• Assist with planning and coordinating fundraising events

• Manage office supplies, mail, filing, and general office operations

• Support volunteer coordination and special projects

• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive donor and organizational information

Requirements

 

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare environment

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with strong Excel skills including formulas and organizing data sets

• Experience with donor databases or CRMs preferred; familiarity with DonorPerfect is a plus

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail

• Positive attitude with a heart for serving the community and supporting the Foundation's mission
