Summary:
Under general supervision to perform a variety of duties in the general support of the Engineering Department and all Engineering department staff. Interact with Engineering staff, vendors, and management staff and communicate and coordinate work from other departments.
This grade is distinguished from Administrative Assistant II in that this position requires 5 years experience in the Engineering Department as either an Administrative Assistant I or II.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
Must have a full working knowledge of all activities and procedures for the operation of the Engineering Department. The ability to read and write English and Spanish at levels necessary for successful job performance. Knowledge of trades and staff assigned to trades and their capabilities within the Engineering Department.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Five (5) consecutive years in the Engineering Department as an Administrative Assistant I or II

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Employees working the Casino or Bowling Center may be exposed to second-hand smoke and moderate levels of noise.
