Job Description - Administrative Assistant

Overview of the Role:
Join our client's dynamic team as a Temporary Administrative Assistant providing vital support to government operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your administrative skills in a professional environment while making a meaningful contribution to public service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls professionally, ensuring efficient communication
  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, photocopying, and maintaining records
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Maintain and update office databases and filing systems
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
  • Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents
  • Provide customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience in general office/clerical work
  • Proficiency in answering multi-line phone systems
  • Bilingual or trilingual fluency (English/Spanish/Creole)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (including one-hour lunch break)
40 hours per week
