Job Description - Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant acts as company receptionist at our corporate office in Elkhart, IN and provides administrative support for all departments.

Responsibilities:     

  • Welcome, greet, and assist visitors per company established process
  • Handle all outgoing and incoming mail and packages (USPS, UPS, FedEx, other) for the Elkhart campus per the established process.  Prepares labels and tags for shipments and certified mail. Assist all employees as needed with mail services.
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information
  • Maintain clean lobby area
  • Coordinate plant/corporate tours per the approved process
  • Assist with corporate functions, meetings, lunches, and events
  • Prepare general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, graphs, presentations etc. as given by functional leads
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies, including kitchen and vending supplies, per established process
  • May perform various administrative tasks for miscellaneous departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Graduate 
  • Working knowledge of office support functions including handling correspondences, filing, composing a variety of business documents, gathering and compiling data
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality. Must have a natural flair for customer interaction, be attentive, and possess a warm and welcoming personality
  • Professional appearance and dress 
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite: PPT, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, One Drive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to interact and communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Superior attention to detail with ability to work independently
  • Must be flexible with work hours and able to work overtime
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized
  • Requires long periods of sedentary work
  • Requires repetitive upper body movement – keyboarding and monitor use
  • Requires some lifting and standing
