Job Description - Administrative Assistant



Position Summary


Surfside Laundry is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR & Administrative Coordinator to support our Alabama operations. This role provides on-site HR support, administrative coordination, and customer service assistance across multiple plant locations.


The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment while supporting both employees and leadership.


Key Responsibilities


Human Resources Support



  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and new hire orientation

  • Maintain employee records and ensure accurate documentation

  • Support attendance tracking, disciplinary documentation, and compliance

  • Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns

  • Coordinate with leadership on HR-related matters across locations


Administrative Duties



  • Provide general administrative support to plant leadership

  • Maintain files, reports, and internal documentation

  • Assist with scheduling, communication, and operational coordination

  • Ensure accurate data entry and recordkeeping


Customer Service Support



  • Assist with customer communication and issue resolution

  • Support account coordination and service follow-ups

  • Maintain a professional and responsive experience for clients


Qualifications



  • 2+ years of experience in HR, administrative support, or related role

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus


Work Environment



  • Primarily based in Alabama with regular interaction across multiple facilities

  • Combination of office and plant-floor exposure

  • Hands-on, team-oriented environment supporting daily operations
