Job Description - Administrative Assistant to Athletic Director

Administrative Assistant to Athletic Director 


Grapevine Faith Christian School exists to develop and graduate authentic Christian leaders.



Position Summary:


The Administrative Assistant to Athletic Director supports the mission of our school by providing support services to the Athletic Department. The Assistant plays a crucial role by providing professional administrative support to the Athletic Director, Assistant Athletic Director, coaches, students and parents.  The Assistant will report to the Athletic Director. 


  


StatusFull-Time / Non-Exempt / 12-month



Responsibilities:



  1. Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information where judgment and discretion are essential by maintaining absolute confidentiality.

  2. Support and assist the Athletic Director in the administration of his duties that may include written correspondence, managing his calendar, filing, photocopying, emailing, credit card reconciliation and other general accepted office duties.

  3. Assist with general questions from coaches, staff, students and parents pertaining to the athletic department. 

  4. Keep parents informed on sport/school related activities.   

  5. Work with the coaches and administration to ensure the athletic website is current and updated.

  6. Assist with travel and transportation arrangements.

  7. Maintain and uphold the religious standards of Faith Christian School to include the Lifestyle Statement, Staff Covenant and Statement of Faith.

  8. Responsible to disciple, instruct and actively pray for the students on our campus.

  9. Responsible to reinforce a Biblical Worldview in every workplace interaction with both students, staff and faculty.

  10. Other duties as assigned that are closely related.



Qualifications:



  1. Must possess and model a personal authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

  2. Must have a high level of discernment and wisdom, and the ability to manage confidential information. 

  3. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and e-mail. 

  4. Proven leadership skills with an ongoing commitment to grow as a servant-leader and manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently.

  5. Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with the President and Board’s expectations, established school policies and procedures, and the school mission and core values. 

  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal and relational skills and the ability to adapt to new technology.

  7. Must have a high school diploma. 

  8. At least 3-5 years of administrative experience required.
