Job Description:
Job Duties: Oversee daily office operations, scheduling, correspondence, and file management. Maintain internal databases and records for accuracy and accessibility. Serve as liaison with community members, stakeholders, and government agencies. Coordinate meetings, events, and outreach activities to support Commission initiatives. Assist with budget preparation, monitor expenditures, process purchasing requests, and ensure compliance with fiscal policies. Maintain accurate financial records. Conduct research and gather data for reports, proposals, and Commission projects. Prepare official meeting minutes and respond to information requests. Track agency progress toward goals and objectives by reviewing and assessing reports. Identify and recommend corrective actions for delays or operational issues. Support special projects and initiatives as directed by the Executive Director. All other duties assigned within the scope of the classifications.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in public or business administration, accounting, or any discipline related to the work assigned. One year of experience in administrative, business management or technical support work including collecting and interpreting statistical, financial, program, or administrative data; or interpreting laws, rules, regulations, and processes. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, communications, or related field preferred. Two years of administrative or program support experience; experience in research and stakeholder engagement is a plus.
Other: Regular and Reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
Ability to interpret and apply regulations and guidelines.
