Description

Midwestern Wheels, Inc., a proud licensee of Avis Budget Group, is seeking a self-motivated Administrative Support Specialist to join our Accounting Department. Based in Appleton, WI, we are a locally owned, family-operated company with over 65 years of success. In this role, you will manage a range of administrative responsibilities and act as a primary contact for customer resolutions. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule during regular business hours. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Excel, we encourage you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties to support the Accounting Department
  • Research and resolve customer service issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Generate and manage Excel-based reports and data tracking
  • Assist with internal communication and follow-up as needed
  • Work independently while staying aligned with department goals and timelines

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required (including formulas and data manipulation)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organized with strong time-management abilities
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Previous experience in administrative or accounting support is preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting wage of $21 per hour, with consideration for experience

Requirements

  • Excel experience to include strong knowledge of formulas and linking worksheets required
  • 1+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn proprietary software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to establish priorities and work within deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary Description

Starting at $21.00 per hour
