JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Support Worker (Social Services) provides clerical and administrative support to the Social Services Department. This position supports daily operations, assists with client-facing administrative needs, and ensures accurate and confidential recordkeeping. The role works closely with program staff to support service delivery, outreach efforts, and departmental coordination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, and document preparation for Social Services programs


• Answer phones, greet clients and visitors, and provide front desk coverage in a professional and culturally sensitive manner


• Schedule client appointments, meetings, and program activities


• Prepare, proofread, and format correspondence, reports, and program materials


• Maintain organized and confidential client files, both electronic and physical, in accordance with program requirements


• Assist with intake documentation, application processing, and general program support


• Support coordination of outreach events, community meetings, and program activities


• Coordinate transportation resources for clients as needed


• Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion and professionalism


• Support multiple program areas within Social Services as needed


• Perform other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED


• Minimum one (1) year of administrative or clerical experience


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a client-service environment


• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel as required


• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening

TRIBAL PREFERENCE STATEMENT:

To qualify, applicants must submit valid proof of enrollment. Tribal Members who meet the minimum qualifications will be given preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and layoff decisions. During the interview process, PRCI Tribal Members will receive an additional 7.5 points (10% of the 75-point interview rubric). Non-PRCI Native American candidates will receive an additional 5 points (6.7% of the total points) in accordance with Indian Preference guidelines.
