Job Duties:
As an Administrative Technician, your role will be essential in ensuring smooth operations within the Occupational Licensure Team. Your key duties will include:
Reviewing and processing applications related to licensure and certification.
Ensuring all documents, including transcripts and examination scores, are accurate and complete for initial licensure and renewals.
Issuing, renewing, auditing, reinstating, and inactivating licenses while following established procedures.
Assisting with preparation for board meetings by compiling applications that need Board review and added to the agenda materials and preparing rooms if needed.
Entering and updating licensing and renewal data into the online web browser My License Office (MLO).
Communicating with licensees, applicants, and the public regarding licensing requirements, statutes, and regulations.
Handling routine phone calls, correspondence, and maintaining organized files.
Operating copiers, fax machines, and other office equipment as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to review applications/documents in accordance with statutes, regulations, and guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access (or similar software).
Experience with phone and in-person customer service, especially regarding the status of applications and required documentation.
Ability to organize, track, update, and file records in both electronic and manual formats.
Experience handling confidential documents in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Valid drivers license
