THE POSITION


We are actively seeking an AMS, Administrator


The AMS Administrator is responsible for supporting ISPOR's netFORUM AMS environment by managing functional operations, maintaining data accuracy, supporting system setup and imports, training users, troubleshooting issues, and serving as the primary point of contact for netFORUM-related matters. This role works closely with the Director, Business Solutions, and internal stakeholders to configure membership applications, products, events, billing, permissions, and other AMS processes while identifying opportunities to improve system functionality, streamline workflows, and enhance service delivery for ISPOR's members, customers, and staff.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Manage the Association Management System (AMS),netFORUM, ensuring optimal functionality, security, and the highest data standards.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the AMS vendor, manage vendor relationships, escalate issues, and advocate for timely solutions.

  • Expand the AMS database using the netFORUM Toolkit, executing SQL statements for data manipulation and maintaining data integrity.

  • Develop custom views, queries, stored procedures, reports, and data analyses for end-users, ensuring access to relevant and actionable information.

  • Coordinate integrations using a solid understanding of APIs with ISPOR's website, Sitefinity, and 3rd-party vendors to test customizations, integrations, and service packs to ensure seamless functionality.

  • Provide technical expertise in architecting and developing netFORUM and related product suites, developing and supporting integration solutions with business support systems.

  • Managed the AMS security, including user management, auditing, and regular security checks.

  • Lead data cleanliness and integrity efforts, overseeing database customizations and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

  • Facilitate discussions with end users to align business processes with AMS capabilities, eliciting and documenting requirements for enhancements and automating workflows.

  • Collaborate with departments to establish efficient AMS processes, configure products, events, and permissions, and oversee data entry for accuracy. Train staff and members on the AMS and third-party integrated solutions, providing orientation and specialized training to adapt to changing roles and business processes.

  • Manage and maintain current end-user documentation and standard operating procedures for the AMS core functionality and enhancements, ensuring accessibility to information for all users.

  • Continuously update expertise in the AMS ecosystem, including third-party solutions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of membership management, conference registration, and related services.


Qualifications Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor'sdegreeincomputerscience, Information Technology, related degree field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+years'experience in a membership association

  • Experience using AMS MSSQL-based environment, including module navigation, query development, and netFORUM Toolkit for database expansion and customization.

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, complex queries, views, stored procedures, and report writing, specifically SSRS.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments and end-users

  • Experience managing membership databases, billing, and event/product setups.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues accurately, identify root causes using innovative thinking, and recommend process improvements.

  • Proficiency in communicating complex IT terminology to non-IT professionals.

  • Ability to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Dedication to exceptional customer service and understanding of staff needs.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the organization with various levels, including leadership, members, and peers, across teams, cultures, and experience levels.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office and have an ability to learn new technology platforms.

  • Solid business acumen and creative problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Direct experience administering netFORUM AMS, including membership, events, products, billing, customer records, permissions, and user support.

  • Advanced netFORUM data and reporting experience, including Toolkit, SQL queries, views, stored procedures, SSRS reports, imports, exports, and data quality management.

  • Experience supporting netFORUM integrations and enhancements, including testing service packs, coordinating with AMS vendors, troubleshooting system issues, and improving workflows across departments.

  • Office-based: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Travel is required: expected 2-6 times per year, including international travel and quarterly attendance in the ISPOR office for staff events.

  • Must be able to work varied hours as necessary.


OUR LOCATION


Nestled halfway between Philadelphia and New York City, ISPOR's headquarters is in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Our staff works in the office in a hybrid arrangement (on-site two days per week).
