Admirals Steak & Seafood Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

 Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and team members. Responsible for all results from day-to-day operations, to ensure the guests are all treated with the highest regard and leave after having the most pleasant experience by fully trained team members.in both admirals steak house and our black card lounge

Available Shift: 

• Swing Shift- 2:00PM-1:00AM 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Yes.  Supervises the teams of admirals and the black card lounge

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure Guest Service Standards are met consistently.


• Ensures Quality Standards are reviewed and updated as needed and are met consistently.


• Ensures all recipes are adhered to consistently.


• Ensures proper staffing for forecasted volume and budgetary guidelines through proper training of supervisors.


• Assists the Manager in proper ordering for the Restaurant inclusive of all food, beverages, and supplies.


• Assists the Manager in proper inventory levels and monitors inventories and reports discrepancies to the Director of F&B.


• Assists the Manager in completing the end of period inventory and presents it to the Department Analyst.


• Assist in ensuring timely and proper scheduling to meet budgeted labor costs.


• Achieves proper food and liquor/ beverage costs consistent with budgeted expense.


• Assists the Manager in administering and enforcing departmental policies and performance standards.


• Works closely with Department Trainer to ensure all new hires are trained both with classroom and floor programs. Ensure all existing team members attend follow-up training sessions.


• Communicate any problems or concerns to the Manager and other departments as needed.


• Assists the Manager in efficient and timely recruitment and selection of applicants.


• Efficiently and effectively communicates with departments to ensure proper communication by conducting and participating in departmental meetings


• Ensures all department files are in proper order in such a way that another manager could perform efficiently in the event of his/her absence.


• Accountable to ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.


• Consistently promotes the Casino through good will and positive attitude.

  Maintains high sanitation and safety standards meeting all required regulatory standards including but not limited to the Health Department, OSHA, FSLA, etc

  Maintains security of products and areas assigned to the department.

  Ensures FIFO rotation of products to provide the freshest product to our guests consistently.

  Greet all guests with hospitality; engage and answer questions about food and wine in a friendly, helpful manner

  Maintain full knowledge of Admiral’s Steak & Seafood menu (Food & Wine)

  Lead guests through wine tasting experiences. Ensuring a fun, memorable and educational customer experience.

  Support in the operations and the set-up, execution and breakdown of special events

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum two years’ experience as a fine dining style assistant restaurant manager.


• Bartending and serving experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.


• Demonstrates the ability to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders.


• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.

Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations: 

• Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).


• Ability to obtain a Food Manager's Certificate.


• Currently hold or able to obtain Sommelier certification within 4 months of employment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work while standing for hours at a time.


• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. 


• Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke and dust.
