Position Overview As the Admissions & Intake Coordinator, you will play a critical role in welcoming new patients into the Sereno Clinic community. You will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking treatment, guiding them through the admissions process with empathy, professionalism, and efficiency. You will work closely with our clinical team to ensure that all new patients receive the appropriate assessments and care plans.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for potential patients and their families, answering inquiries and providing initial information about the clinic’s programs and services.
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to determine the patient’s needs, eligibility, and treatment options.
Collect and verify all required documentation, including insurance information and consent forms.
Work closely with the clinical team to ensure smooth transitions for patients from intake to treatment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with confidentiality and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with medical staff, therapists, and counselors to ensure patients are scheduled for appropriate evaluations and treatment sessions.
Assist patients with navigating insurance verification and obtaining prior authorizations for treatment.
Coordinate patient admissions, ensuring that all necessary steps are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide ongoing support to patients throughout their treatment journey, offering assistance as needed.
Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements related to patient admissions and documentation.
Participate in team meetings to discuss admissions trends, patient feedback, and ways to improve the intake process.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, healthcare administration, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in admissions or intake coordination in a healthcare or substance abuse treatment setting is a plus.
Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
Strong understanding of confidentiality laws, including HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Compassionate, patient-focused approach with strong communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
Knowledge of substance abuse treatment options and resources is highly desirable.
Compensation: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
