Job Description - Admissions and Marketing Director

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Admissions & Marketing Director to join our leadership team and help drive census growth, community engagement, and excellence in patient experience.

 

Position Summary

The Admissions & Marketing Director is responsible for leading all facility admissions processes while developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive census growth and strengthen relationships with referral partners. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who excels in relationship-building, healthcare sales, and patient coordination.

 

Key Responsibilities

Admissions

  • Manage and coordinate all incoming patient referrals and admissions
  • Conduct clinical and financial screenings alongside the clinical leaders and business office to ensure appropriate placement
  • Communicate effectively with hospitals, physicians, families, and case managers
  • Facilitate smooth and timely admissions processes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards

Marketing & Business Development

  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to increase census
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources (hospitals, physicians, case managers, community organizations)
  • Conduct regular outreach, networking, and community events
  • Track and analyze referral trends and occupancy data
  • Represent the facility professionally in the community

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, or business development (skilled nursing/LTC preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance processes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and drive results
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
