Admissions Nurse - 10am to 6pm *Full Time*

The Village At Summerville is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Admissions Nurse to join our team in creating a warm hospitality experience for all our residents, staff and visitors. In this position, you will enjoy working with a passionate team to provide quality service throughout our community.

What you will do:

• Point person for access to electronic discharge and all scripts to obtain admission information.
• Initiating and completing admissions/readmissions of residents 
• Reviewing the admission/ readmission charts from the previous day and discussing any deficiencies noted with the DON
• Informing staff of admissions/discharges including room number, admitting diagnosis, and estimating time of arrival prior to resident’s arrival.
• Initiating and completing resident discharges 
• Taking part in the on-call rotation as per on call schedule
• Provide relief staffing on the medication cart as needed 
• Ensure that patients are comfortable and receive the highest quality of care during their stay
• Perform other duties as assigned

What is good to have:

• Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
• CPR Certified 
• Intermediate computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
