Description
Serves as the hospital central receptionist. Responsible for timely admission of all inpatients and outpatients. Greets all patients and visitors to Patterson Health Center with professionalism and courtesy. Able to communicate well with people both in person and on the telephone. Interacts with the general public, other employees and medical staff on a regular basis. Collects patient care service fees due from patients prior to their appointment. Monitors patient waiting area keeping individuals informed of any delays. Coordinates with clinical personnel to ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner, providing pertinent information as appropriate. Responsible for organization and routine office functions. Adheres to rules regarding confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience in an office setting preferred but not required
Strong customer service skills
