Greater Georgia Behavioral Health is launching Groundwork, a new Adolescent Afterschool Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) based in Fayetteville, GA. The program will serve adolescents ages 12 to 17 through individual, group, and family therapy, drawing on evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches including DBT-A, CBT, trauma-focused work, and family systems.
The Opportunity
As Groundwork prepares to launch, Greater Georgia Behavioral Health is looking for an Adolescent Primary Therapist to help build the clinical foundation of the program from the ground up. This full-time, in-person role is a strong fit for a clinician ready to carry an individual adolescent caseload, lead groups, and help shape a brand-new program from day one. Two positions are open, with a target start date ahead of program launch.
What You'll Do
Manage an individual adolescent caseload (ages 12 to 17), including family therapy
Complete intake assessments and biopsychosocials
Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals, with ongoing updates and reviews
Complete discharge summaries and maintain collateral contacts with guardians, schools, and outside providers
Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including DBT-A, CBT, trauma-focused, and family systems approaches, to support positive change
Facilitate process, skills, and psychoeducation groups and therapeutic discussions
Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and records; collect and analyze data to evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care accordingly
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
What You Bring
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field
Independently licensed or license-eligible Georgia clinician strongly preferred: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (or license-eligible upon completion of supervised hours); associate-licensed candidates (APC, LMSW, MFT-A) under board-approved supervision also considered
Minimum 1 year providing individual and group counseling services; adolescent and family experience preferred (practicum or internship experience considered for associate-licensed candidates)
Knowledge of PTSD care and trauma-informed approaches; ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities; sensitivity to gender issues in counseling
Familiarity with medical records management and ICD-10-CM coding
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; comfort with risk assessment and mandated reporting
CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred
PHP/IOP or structured level-of-care experience with commercial payors and utilization review
Experience with KIPU or a comparable behavioral health EMR
Benefits
Compensation and Schedule
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite | Monday through Friday, approximately 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
