Title:  Assistant Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse (ADON, RN) 

Position Location: Symphony of Linden
Status: Full -Time Day Shift ** On-call responsibilities required**

The Assistant Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse (ADON, RN) is one of our most important clinical leaders. In partnership with the Director of Nursing (DON), she/he oversees the strategic direction of nursing clinical teams/staff and ensures all resident care is provided according to the standards of nursing practice. The Assistant Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse (ADON, RN) works with the nursing staff and other clinical leaders across the continuum of care helping residents achieve their maximum potential. This key leader empowers our staff by providing them with a motivating and supportive work environment and ensures our nurses serve as a resource for the families of our residents who have entrusted us with their care This key leader is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our residents in a loving and safe environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and maintains nursing service objectives, standards of nursing practice, and the nursing policies and procedures
• Assures that nursing personnel provide treatments, medications, diets, rehabilitative nursing care, activities of daily living, protective service, and training in self-care as stated in the care plan.
• Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Reviews nurses’ notes to assure that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care provided and of the resident’s response to the care.
• Makes rounds to assure that nursing service personnel are performing appropriate nursing care to meet the needs of the residents.

Education and Qualifications:

•  Assistant Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse (ADON, RN) Must have a valid RN license
• RN required, BSN preferred
• Must have at least 1 year experience as a DON in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Strong Leadership Skills
• Familiar with all associated state/JACHO regulations
