Position Summary
The Club Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of an Oakwood Creative Care Day Program. This role oversees member services, staff development, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, outreach efforts, and census growth.
What You'll Do
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
- Provide leadership and oversight to an interdisciplinary team of Engagement Specialists, Care Specialists, Volunteers, and Nursing staff.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain exceptional team members aligned with Oakwood's mission and values.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professional growth, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and development planning.
- Lead daily team huddles and facilitate clear communication across departments.
Deliver an Exceptional Member and Family Experience
- Ensure every member experiences dignity, belonging, purpose, and meaningful engagement.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes emotional, social, cognitive, and physical well-being.
- Build trusted relationships with family caregivers through proactive communication and support.
- Connect families with resources and services that strengthen their caregiving journey.
Drive Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, lunch, supplies, facilities, and member safety.
- Monitor attendance, census, staffing ratios, budgets, and key performance indicators.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and adherence to organizational policies.
- Maintain compliance with Arizona Department of Health Services regulations and licensing requirements.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain readiness for audits and regulatory reviews.
Champion Innovative Programming
- Support the development of innovative programs that foster engagement, independence, and quality of life.
- Ensure programming reflects each member's interests, strengths, goals, and personal history.
Build Strategic Relationships and Program Growth
- Develop and maintain referral relationships .
- Represent OCC at networking events, presentations, and outreach opportunities
- Conduct tours and engage prospective members and families.
- Support fundraising initiatives and donor engagement activities alongside the Philanthropy team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Gerontology, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and demonstrated leadership success will also be considered
- Previous leadership experience in healthcare, senior services, adult day services, nonprofit organizations, recreation, social services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and employee development skills.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and public speaking abilities.
- Proven organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Passion for serving older adults, individuals living with dementia, and family caregivers.
- Experience working in dementia care, adult day programs, senior living, or aging services preferred
