Main Function

Provide ministry support within Adult Ministries, specifically through administrative support to the Adult Discipleship Minister.   

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Support Marriage, Men's, Mid-Gen/Senior Adults, Small Groups, Women's, and Young Adult Ministries as directed by AD Minister; support and promote collaboration among all other Adult Ministries (AM) as needed


• Monthly AD meetings: assist in the preparation and gathering of agenda items, anticipate and prepare for the needs of AM events and meetings, and order food 


• Continually review the needs of our AM Team; anticipate and prepare for the needs of AM events and meetings


• Assist AD Minister with the support and shepherding of class leaders and teachers 


• Initiate and maintain all tasks related to registrations, attendance, and childcare (if appropriate)


• Serve as a resource and support for our AD classes (Sunday morning Bible studies)


• Monthly touch-base visits on Sunday mornings to our AD Bible study classes 
  


• Serve alongside and as directed by the AD Minister at Parker Square (PS) for Monday evening (Academy) programming (5-9p) 


• Adjust class calendars for family services, staff holidays, and Founders’ closures


• Keep room set ups and door schedules current; communicate changes with the facilities team


• Communicate changes/updates across ministries and with volunteer teachers


• Coordinate childcare registrations and timing across ministries to manage dates/times


• Ensure class attendance is properly maintained, and participant follow-up is highlighted where needed


• Record attendance and registration report for leadership (annually, as requested)


• Order and prepare class materials as needed


• Keep supplies maintained, replenished, and well-organized 


• Keep storage areas maintained and continually be a good steward of our supplies


• Serve as coordinator for our annual AD volunteer leader training 


• Coordinate Welcome Desk volunteer coverage at Parker Square


• Coordinate Minister on Campus coverage at Parker Square
  


• Coordinate and promote adult ministries through our AD Newsletter
  


• Submit and maintain publicity requests for the scheduling and promotion of AD classes
  


• RightNow Media – evaluate utilization upon annual renewal and pay monthly bill
  


• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  

Skills & Attributes

• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)


• Basic knowledge of, or ability to learn platforms/media used by RockPointe Church: TouchPoint, eSpace, Nexonia, Martus, Asana, Canva, Facebook, Instagram, etc. 


• Task-oriented mindset and ability to interact with a wide range of people compassionately and patiently 


• Ability to self-start and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment 


• Ability to juggle multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy 


• Effective and professional email, text, and phone communications with staff, church members, and volunteer leaders 


• Responsiveness and flexibility regarding time-sensitive changes and/or requests 


• Able to handle and safeguard confidential church information
