Part-Time Weekend Caregiver – Mendham Township, NJ

A family in Mendham Township, NJ 07945 is seeking an experienced and compassionate caregiver for their 79-year-old parent. This client may have memory care needs and requires support with mobility, daily routines, and companionship.

Schedule:

• Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM


• Hours may be extended if needed

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home


• One friendly cat


• Family values empathy, patience, kindness, and dignity in care


• The home environment includes a few cameras in common areas to ensure client safety and support fall monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Assist client into and out of the shower (shower chair provided; no bathing required)


• Empty bedpan as needed


• Prepare simple meals and ensure other meals are accessible (e.g., microwaveable or Meals on Wheels)


• Support medication routines (bring tray to client and supervise intake)


• Encourage light walking and provide mobility support


• Light housekeeping and light pet care (feeding and litter maintenance)


• Provide companionship and emotional support


• Monitor and support client’s health needs, including chronic conditions such as diabetes, mobility challenges, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure.

Requirements:

• Experience with older adults, memory care, or mobility support


• CPR and First Aid certification preferred


• Comfortable working in a home with pets


• Ability to meet physical demands (assisting with mobility, standing, and bending)
  
  

Compensation:

• $22–$25 per hour
